ApartmentsThe village of Sreser is a typical fishing and farming village situated on the north side of the Peljeac Peninsula. The Peninsula itself lies in the south of Dalmatia and it's the second largest peninsula in Croatia.

History

The first records of the Peninsula date back to the year 4000 B.C. The village of Sreser itself grew around the site of one of the many villa rusticas that the Romans had built all over the Peninsula. The village has a population of around 30 people. The local people have kept alive their tradition of fishing and the production of wine and olive oil. They have also started to grow oranges recently. Tourism began here some 40 years ago. There are pebble and sandy beaches, secluded rocky coves and three islets nearby. The nearest is called Gospin koj and one can swim to it or even walk to it at low tide. This area is popular with holiday makers who enjoy untouched nature and tranquility.
